Magic To Do

We've got magic to do, just for you,

SO I FOUND OUT THAT BROADWAY BROUGHT BACK THE PLAY "PIPPIN; HIS LIFE AND TIMES" AFTER BEING OFF PRODUCTION FOR ALMOST FOURTY YEARS. Okay, maybe I should give a little exposition. I learned about the play, Pippin, around the same time I found "Into the Woods". Pippin is labeled as a musical comedy, but...... When I watched pippin for the first time it felt more like a tragedy to me (it's also incredibly dark in some places, and extremely suggestive in others). You may relate very closely to Pippin like I did, especially when you find yourself wondering where you're going in life and if you're on the right path to your dreams, or if you'll even reach them. Much like pippin, you may think you know where you want to go and how to get there, but once you do it's nothing like what you expected and you may not know where to go next. We all want grand lives, but what do you do when that's not where your road takes you or where you don't want to go? Pippin asks these questions, but it's ending may leave you feeling existential. I know it did that for me.

ANY WAY, I wanted to do this picture for a long time, but felt like I didn't have the skills to pull it off how I wanted. (I still don't have the skills I want to pull this off. I need to practice lighting) The Lead Player is my favorite character, although he's a negative influence, I like his personality. It's the first song in the play and the best one in my opinion.
