This year's art challenge to get the birthday badge is bullshit. Wanting to keep all the elements in the template in the art piece? yeah, sure, fine, I get that. Not allowing to modify it at all in ANY way? even rotating, mirroring, stretching or skewing? Fuck off. Oh, and dA can remove your badge if they don't think it "demonstrates the true spirit of the community"? FUCK! OFF!!!  Sure, I get it if you don't want people posting porn or just reuploading the template with no edits, but saying it like that is EXTREMELY vague and it makes it sound like YOU get to determine what is and isn't "art". How does one determine who is and isn't "tyring", dA? Take my picture for example. Believe it or not, I spent two hours on this, mostly stopping and scrapping what I was working on to start over from scratch. Sorry it doesn't look professional, but guess what? I still put time and energy into this. Does that count as "trying?" If you want people to enjoy the birthday and have fun making art, don't tell them what they can and cannot do, DA.
